The first place we visited in Arashiyama was the Tenryu-ji temple garden. Here are some pictures of the place. |

| Lunch was shojin-ryori (vegetarian dishes) at Shigetsu restaurant in Tenryu-ji. It looked very nice and See Ming kept going on about how good it all was, but I hardly touched mine. |

| We left Tenryu-ji to see the bamboo forest all around Arashiyama. |
