Each axle on this truck will carry a Tamiya 6-speed gearbox from their educational series (kit number 72005). It can be configured in 6 different gear ratio arrangements. Here it is configured for a ratio of 196.7 to one - nice and slow for rock crawling. |

I cut off part of a gearbox wall and epoxied it back on to make it narrower. I want the gearbox as narrow as possible to keep the size of the truck down. |
