One thing I don't enjoy is lugging a load of heavy equipment to the track. When I switched over to LiPo batteries, I started using the Bantam e-Station BC6 charger, which had its own built-in power supply, and that saved me from having to haul my old-school power supply which had the size and weight of a concrete brick. But then, I still needed a power source for all the other things that ran on 12 volts - cooling fans, tire warmers, comm lathes, etc. I found this on the Internet and it looked perfect for my needs.

The entire power supply unit is housed inside a slightly large A/C plug. I have seen an American version on the Internet, but mine is the British plug. It has a cooling fan inside which comes on when the heat builds up. |
| My only complain about the unit is that it comes with a strange output socket. I couldn't find any plugs to fit it, so I had to open it up and solder in my prefered plugs (Deans). Needless to say, this voids all warrantees but I think mine didn't come with any. |

The case is held together by what looked like normal hex bolts but after trying a few hex drivers, I realised these were star-shaped hex head bolts. |
Conclusion: It's the smallest 7 amp power supply I have ever seen and its perfect for powering up cooling fans, tire warmers, motor coolers, comm lathes, tire truers and just about anything that draws a low current at 12 volts. It does need a little tinkering with to get it to work because of the strange plug.
